Considerate Constructors

The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) is a national initiative set up by the construction industry to improve its image. Registered sites and companies are monitored against a Code of Considerate Practice, which encourages  best practice beyond statutory requirements.

The Scheme is concerned about any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. The main areas of concern fall into three categories: the general public, the workforce and the environment.

Speller Metcalfe CCS Awards is a member of the scheme, and has regularly reached the top 5% of contractors from across the UK, including multiple silver CCS awards. Our mascot Buzz Sitegear regularly makes an appearance as part of our CCS actions, no doubt you'll be seeing him around...
